On May 8, Sensei met wth China's President Hu Jintao. The interpreter for President Hu was among the first batch of students from China whom Sensei had invited to study at the Soka University, at that time when all other universities in Japan refused to accept them. During the meeting, Sensei presented a poem to President Hu. It reads:

国富邦和日日新
家家充裕感恩深
主施仁政行王道
席不暇暖为人民。
古来文化汉土求
月氏睿智福共寿
锦绣中华迎旧友
涛声友好万代流。
